Adult Ministries
Worship
Through relevant, contemporary music we seek to praise God for who He is and what He has done. Our worship is not a performance or musical activity, but our heart’s expression of love and adoration to God. Join us on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings for powerful praise and worship the way God intended.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
The Women's Ministry at HCC is committed to creating an environment where women in any season of life can grow in a fulfilling relationship with Jesus Christ. By defining, developing and implementing their gifts, one can experieince fulfillment in ministry As women are growing and the Lord alls them to service, we will be intentional in facilitating areas where they may minister. Some of the things we offer are Large Group Events, Women's Circles, Mentoring, Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS), Individual Counseling Ministry, Missions Projects, and Bible Studies.
MEN’S MINISTRY
One of the most serious problems in our society is the lack of male leadership; in our communities, schools, at church, and most importantly in our homes. God wants to raise up strong Christian men to help change the tide. At HCC we currently have two dynamic men’s Bible studies that are making a difference. Please come and be a part of one. Watch the bulletin on
Sundays for other men’s ministry opportunities.
Join us weekly: Mondays at HCC at 6:30am
Wednesdays at PerkinsEast back room at 7:30am.
HOME FELLOWSHIP GROUPS
Home Fellowship Groups provide a casual atmosphere for Bible study,
discussion, sharing of needs, prayer, encouragement, and like-minded
fellowship. The Home Fellowship Groups offer a variety of studies which
will help you mature in your Christian life. See a listing of these Home
Fellowship Groups on the back of the weekly church bulletin.
COUNSELING
The Pastoral staff is available to help in your special times of need. With God’s Word as our resource, and prayer for our wisdom, we will help comfort and add instruction in those times of need. Call the church office to schedule appointments.
FAMILY CONNECTIONS
All young families, single or married, are invited to join us for fun and fellowship. This is a great way to meet other young families. Call Jennifer for more information at 727-8886. Watch the weekly bulletin and board in the church hallway for event information.
HEART TOUCH DEAF MINISTRY
The mission of Heart Touch Deaf Ministry begins with seeking God's will
through prayer and studying His word so we can become an effective
witness and example to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
By reaching out to them, where they are, we will continue to learn their
culture and language. We will continue to support each other with
prayer, training and the love of Christ. Currently we are interpreting the
8:30am service on Sundays. Please contact the church office to make
arrangements for an interpreter for the 11am service or Sunday school.
MOPS - MOTHER’S OF PRESCHOOLERS
MOPS is an international outreach ministry for mothers of children from birth to age five. The program is designed to support and encourage mothers from all different backgrounds, whether you are stay-at-home mom or a working mom. We meet on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 9:30am to 11:30am. For more information about MOPS please call the church office or go online to www.MOPS.org.
OVERCOMERS OUTREACH
Overcomers Outreach is a Christ-centered, twelve step, support group for men and women who have been affected, either directly or indirectly, by abuse of alcohol, drugs, or other compulsive behaviors. Call 393-1014 for more information on this ministry.
DRAMA
Drama is one of the creative vehicles used to reconcile people back to God. It provides a visual approach to sharing the “good news” of Christ that can touch people’s hearts- the audience, the cast, and the crew. The drama performances enable many members of the congregation to take part in this ministry and contribute to God’s message of salvation. Watch the bulletin for upcoming events.
SORTS AND RECREATION
This is a excellent opportunity for both men and women to experience fun and fellowship. Men’s and Co-Ed softball leagues meet weekly during the summer months and have a great time playing ball. Everyone is welcome to participate. Watch for more information in the spring. There are also volleyball leagues throughout the year. Watch the church bulletin or call the church office for more info on this.
